So yesterday Apple released the mythical "iPad" which surprisingly didn't turn out looking like this:

So Here's what I'm not understanding. My wife got an iPhone, which was supposed to be this miracle phone (the Jesus phone if you will). It can do anything, yet it can't run two apps at the same time, it's never going to support flash, and while it is extremely refined it ultimately isn't very easy to personalize. So then Apple comes out with the iPad, which turns out to be a massive iPhone/iPod touch. That's it, just an over sized iPhone. Now here's what gives me a headache: Apple just took a dump on a computer chip and every one is drooling to take a tasty bite.
This is a massive, soon to be outdated, over priced hype of a stagnant product. At least make it Flash compatible, at least allow it to get online and view half of whats on there, at least allow it to run apps in the background!
Apple, Steve Jobs, if you're going to tout life changing technology, make it a game changer, not a blown up version of your old product. You make my head hurt.
I'm with you, apple fanatics are like some cult willing to lap up whatever junk they toss their way. They make crappy overpriced and underpowered stuff.
ReplyDeleteAnd have you ever owned a Mac, an iPhone, or an iPod? Because I have owned all three and have never felt that they were overpriced for the quality that you get. In fact, I prefer Apple to PC.
ReplyDeleteScott, that previous comment was to you. And as for Luke, the iPhone may not come perfect out of the box, but it is easily trained to do all the tricks you want or need it to. Just like your favorite Google or Android phone can be.
